Spiritual Life Ministries enrich and promote the spiritual growth of the parish through ongoing conversion, renewal and leading a life of prayer in action:

Perpetual Adoration Chapel is open every day from 4:00am to 11:00pm, thanks to the dedication of parishioners who take turns staying in the Chapel for one hour intervals in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying for our Church, our community and for peace in our world today. There are always a few hours that need someone to stay in the Chapel so please volunteer. “Could you not stay awake with me for one hour?” said Jesus to his disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane. Matthew 26:40

Prayer Line is available to receive your prayer requests for your needs and those of others. Call (225) 687-1554 at any time with your prayer requests.

Holy Spirit Prayer Group meets on the second Sunday of the month at 4:00pm in the church to pray for our church and special intentions. Please join them!

Ongoing Bible Studies and Reflection Series provide opportunities to learn more about our faith through studying the Bible or spiritual books and share in discussion with others. A series is offered in the fall and in the spring. Sometimes there may be a pre-Advent series and/or a Lenten series.

Going on Retreat – As a way to enrich your spiritual life, many of our parishioners go on retreats. Men in our parish usually go to Manresa annually; women go to Our Lady of the Oaks or other Louisiana locations. In addition, Advent and Lenten silent retreats are offered at our church.
