Parish School of Religion

At St. John the Evangelist Parish, we are committed to providing a faith-based religious education program that nurtures and strengthens the spiritual journey of every child in our parish. Our Parish School of Religion (PSR) welcomes students from first grade through eleventh grade.

The PSR program is designed to help our young people grow in their knowledge and love of God while developing a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith. Through age-appropriate faith formation, students are encouraged to broaden their spiritual horizons, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and grow in the values of Christian faith, love, compassion, service, and responsibility.

We believe that faith formation extends beyond the classroom. As children grow in their faith, we encourage strong family relationships and invite parents and family members to actively participate in their children's spiritual development. Parents are an essential part of nurturing a child's relationship with God, and we welcome families to journey together as a community of faith.

At St. John the Evangelist Parish, everyone has a place at the table of the Lord. Together, we strive to be a welcoming community committed to love, mercy, unity, and faith, supporting one another as we grow closer to Christ.

Grades 7–11 & Sacrament of Confirmation

Please contact Chad Nelson, Director of Religious Education (DRE), for questions regarding PSR for grades 7–11, including preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Mr. Nelson is happy to assist families with registration and answer any questions you may have about classes, requirements, sacramental preparation, or faith formation opportunities.

Grades 1–6 & First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

Please contact Jennifer Adams, PSR Coordinator, for questions regarding PSR for grades 1–6, including preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Jennifer is happy to assist families with registration and answer any questions you may have about classes, requirements, sacramental preparation, or faith formation opportunities.
